Dog / Puppy Visits

Each dog and puppy visit includes feeding and fresh water, walking, and playtime. We will clean up messes your pup makes and light yard clean up, bring in the mail/packages, alternate lights and blinds, water house plants, and move trash bins.

Cat / KITTEN Visits

Each cat visit includes feeding and fresh water, playtime, and light litter box scooping. We will bring in the mail/packages, alternate lights and blinds, water house plants, and move trash bins.

Pocket Pets / Exotics

Each visit for your exotic or small animal includes feeding and fresh water, clean up, and following of your specified care instructions.

Live-In, Almost Overnight, and Overnight Stays

  • Live-In Stays include a walk upon arriving to your home, a walk before leaving your home, and a walk in-between (for longer live-in stays). We can stay for up to 8 hours during the day, with a 4 hour minimum.
  • Almost Overnight Stays include dinner with an evening and bedtime walk (2 hour visit). We will return in the AM for breakfast with a morning walk (30 min visit).
  • Overnight Stays include dinner with an evening walk, a bedtime walk, and breakfast with a morning walk. We will stay for 8 hours (typically 10 pm – 6 am).

We will make sure all your pets are fed and given fresh water, playtime, and quality time. We will clean up messes (soiled pee pads, light yard clean up, and light litter box scooping). We will give your home a “lived in look” by bringing in mail/packages, alternating lights and blinds, watering house plants, and moving trash bins. We are happy to follow any additional instructions you have. And last but not least, we will give your pet an abundance of pettings and snuggles.

Additional Pets - FREE

No extra charge for additional pets in the same household.


Light Clean Up - FREE

Light clean up of the litter box/backyard, wiping down tracked-in paw prints, picking up fur balls, and the occasional bathroom accident is all included. Our goal is to have your home look just as good (if not better) when you return home.


Last Minute Requests - $5

For service requests made same day, after 7 pm the day prior, or with less than 48 hours notice on holidays.


Extended Time - $8 per 15 minutes

For those times when your pet needs extra attention.

Pet Sitting FAQ

What time will my sitter arrive?

We schedule services in time blocks. We will take into account your preferred start time, but we cannot guarantee exact start times due to our daily route and unforeseen circumstances including traffic and other scheduled services sometimes needing more time. Pets with strict medication times and crated dogs are given priority and we will aim to arrive within a 1 hour time window. Vet/groomer visits and pet taxi are also given priority times.

Private walks are scheduled during the morning – afternoon or evening time blocks. Please note that private walks requested in the evening block are considered add-ons and have a $5 surcharge.

Pack walks and doggy play days are scheduled for pick up in the late morning/mid-day time block. We will drop your dog off by the end of the mid-day/early afternoon time block, depending on our route for the day.

Live-in stays are scheduled during the morning – evening time blocks.

Almost overnights are scheduled in the evening/overnight time block and overnight stays are scheduled in the overnight time block.

Morning: 8 am – 11 am
Mid-Day: 11 am – 2 pm
Late Afternoon: 2 pm – 6 pm
Evening: 6 pm – 8 pm
Overnight: 10 pm – 6 am

Will I have the same sitter for every service?

When you start service, you will meet with 1-2 of our sitters. We work together as a team to provide consistent, top quality care. This allows us to increase our availability when you have last minute plans and need pet care or when one of your sitters needs time off for personal appointments or vacation time. In other words, your pets will have their own personal pet care team.

What kind of pocket pets/exotics do you care for?

We are happy to care for your pocket and exotic pets. We can care for hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, sugar gliders, chinchillas, fish, frogs, lizards, and more. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and will follow your instructions carefully.

We will do live feeds of insects (such as crickets) but we do not do live feeds of animals (such as mice or fish).

Are pet sit visits and stays available every day, 365 days a year?

Pet sit visits and stays are available every day of the year!

There is a $10 surcharge per service for the following holidays: New Years Eve, New Years Day, Presidents Day, Easter Sunday, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.

This goes directly to our sitters as a gratuity and “thank you” for being there for our clients on these holidays.

Do you accept last minute requests?

Of course! While we cannot always guarantee availability on short notice, we will do our best to accommodate you. For services requested same day, after 8 pm the prior day, or with less than 48 hours notice on holidays, there is a $5 surcharge.

How do you handle cancellations and refunds?

Cancellations need to be made through your online portal account. For private walks, pack walks, doggy play days, groomer/vet visits, pet taxi, and supply pick up, cancellations not made by 7 pm the day prior are not eligible for credit. For drop-in (15, 30, 60 minute), live-in, almost overnight, and overnight pet sitting, cancellations with less than 7 days notice will be given a credit of 50% the invoiced total. There are no credits for early returns. 

Cancellations or downsizes for packages must be done by the 1st of the month. If a service has been paid for and canceled outside of the time frame, the remaining balance will be applied to your Hush Puppies account in the form of credit. We do not offer direct refunds.
